An Open Letter To Life.

Hello everybody, now that Valentine’s Day is approaching most of us will start to get the fear. And you know what I mean by ‘the fear’. The fear that you’re not lovable enough, that you’re not good enough, that you’re just that little bit too psychotic and that you will never find anyone.
That’s bullshit. I say that’s bullshit. And we all know what I say goes.
So I have decided to write a manifesto. Yes, a full-on fucking manifesto. It’s not anti Valentine’s Day. I don’t really give a shit about that. It’s about anti self-doubt, cause about that I give a shit.
Stop worrying about saying the wrong things. You’ll never say the wrong things to the right people. And fuck the people that think you say the wrong things because you speak your mind and that’s more than most people can say about themselves. And no it doesn’t matter whether you blush, because at least you care enough about what you say to blush! Fuck yes. Blushing is sexy and it means you’re alive.
Stop being paranoid whether people bitch, because ultimately it doesn’t matter. People that bitch behind your back without having the balls to do it to your face aren’t even worth your time, so you might as well tune them out completely. No white noise, only magnificent silence.
You are beautiful. I say you are beautiful. See, someone thinks you’re beautiful. That’s a good start, so now go out and make more people think that! Don’t force people to love you, because you might come across like a stalker. Let people love you in their own time. Love comes easily and if it doesn’t, it’s not love. Fuck complications. They are boring.
If you wanna ask him out, do it and don’t wait for him to man up and do it just to stick to etiquette and ‘the rules’. Be a bit more unique than that. If he doesn’t wanna go out with you, it’s not the end of the world. Out there somewhere is someone who really REALLY wants to go out with you, find that person.
"You cannot convince people to love you. This is an absolute rule. No one will ever give you love because you want him or her to give it. Real love moves freely in both directions. Don’t waste your time on anything else." *
Work on yourself and work on your issues. We all have issues and the earlier you realise that, the better. Understanding yourself is the first step to understanding others. It’s valuable. There are some things you can’t understand yet. Life is an ever-evolving complex mystery, so just go with the flow and learn from every little episode. Resolve and evolve. And then resolve and evolve again and throw some forgiveness in the mix, too. That shit is crucial, I tell you.
We all hold grudges but ultimately they are a waste of time. So fall out when you feel like falling out (passionately) and then make up (passionately), cause that shit is sexy.
If it’s really important, do it, say it, feel it. And by really important, I mean REALLY important, if you don’t, you’ll regret it. Regret ain’t a good look, it will give you wrinkles.
I love you! I’ll be your Valentine.

  1. I like what Ashton Kutcher said about Valentines Day - something along the lines about it being rubbish and that he's going to be horrible to his wife on Valentines Day because all the other days will be better for loving. It's very sad if the only day you show you love someone is on 14th Feb!
I'm my own Valentine - I love my own company! xx
